R.I.P.

Rest in Peace Pokemon.

I have committed the cardinal sin of not checking Jack's pockets before I washed his clothes.

Ironically I had checked Craigslist for cheap used cards just this week. I was on the fence whether I should buy them or not. After I retrieved the dead cards from the washing machine I went ahead and scheduled a time to go buy the used cards.

Bummer about the cards. My VT companion did the very same thing a few years ago - when I went to her house she had them all laid out drying, but I'm not sure that they were really salvagable.

I pretty much never check pockets before I do laundry (ugh) - so I would have done the same thing. I'm often amazed at what the boys do leave in pockets. Danny is the biggest culprit. From him alone I've found batteries(various sizes), toys, computer memory sticks, candy wrappers, kleenex, money, rocks, etc...

Danny continued....
pens, pencils, flashlights, candy, chapstick...

You'd think I would check.

Tylor walked in as I was reading this one ... he looked startled at the picture and walked out.

A moment of silence from a 9 yr old for Jack's tragic, no senseless, loss.

Sniff...
